Easel now handles FluidNC machines (ESP32 boards running FluidNC firmware) more reliably, from first connection through homing. Here is what changed.
Homing works on FluidNC
- Easel now shows Home in the machine tab and jog controls, and runs the homing step in setup, for FluidNC machines.
- Z-probe support now appears in setup for FluidNC machines.

Slow-starting controllers are given time to boot
FluidNC boards (and other ESP32 boards) can spend up to 20 seconds joining WiFi before they are ready. Easel used to give up and reconnect every 4 seconds, and each reconnect restarted the board, so setup only worked once its 30 second timeout ran out.
- Easel now waits while the board is still printing, and only retries after it has gone quiet.
- While the board starts up, setup tells you the machine is starting up, and the Carve button shows "Starting up…", instead of asking you to plug the machine in.
- This works over both Web Serial (Quick Connect) and the Easel Driver.

Serial console in setup
Machine setup now has a serial console behind a "Show serial console (advanced)" toggle, so you can watch what your controller prints while Easel connects, which can be very useful for troubleshooting.
