14x19 frame for a Jimmy Diresta signed print

You'll need to secure a piece of Burch plywood to the X-Carve. The frame will hold a 12x17 picture or print. The total frame size is 14x19. You'll need a 1/8 and 1/16 endmill. This frame portion of this project uses the center and top of the material as the home position. The stock material will need to be at least 15x20 inches in size. Place the clamps as close to the edge as possible to avoid interference with the cut. Tabs are used to prevent the interior and exterior material from moving during the cut. Once the initial frame is cut out you'll need to flip it to the front and re-secure it. For the "Diresta" cut, mark out a 1x5 inch location. The home position for this cut will be the top surface and the lower left corner. I secured the lens, print and backer with some small stainless nails installed into holes I drilled into the rabbit of the frame. I finished the wood with a clear spray lacquer which I use often because I can get several coats done in a short amount of time. The spray liqueur dries very quickly. It also helps if it's a warn, sunny day. For an extra nice finish, do a very light sanding between coats, remove the sanding residue and give the coats extra time to cure.
