wooden push racecar
description
i've been making these cars with a router template for years as gifts when my friends have kids. this was my attempt at getting a digital version put together. it is inspired by the side profile of lightning mcqueen, with some proportions tweaked. easily made from box store lumber and dowels.
notes
i generally buy wheels and axles, but it would be just as easy to glue a quarter inch dowel into the wheel design i included on page two and use that instead. in that case i would widen the through hole to use a full length axle.
Photos are cars I made previously with router templates. I will continue tweaking the digital file until I’m happy with it.
