General Information

A unique Halloween Lantern with either LED lights or candles. A fun project using Easel to create that Halloween atmosphere and shed a little light on things.

1

Cut outs

Cut out panels using 1/4" MDF with .125 bit.

Estimated time: 30 minutes

2

Glue up

Glue panels (and bottom) using super glue. Coat with lacquer sanding sealer, light sand, spray primer, and paint.

3

Acrylic box

Cut panels (4 side) to fit inside lamp. Glue with IPS weld on #3 or you can use super glue as well.

4

Light

I used a led light for mine but you could use a candle if you prefer. (I think) Haven't tested with candle. Don't know if it would melt acrylic panels after time.

Estimated time: 1 minutes

I'm glad you liked my project enough to make one for your self. Looks like yours turned out great and loved the YouTube video. Duplication is the highest form of flattery....Thank you. Jeff

Great project. Made some tiny changes: younger son changed some of the silhouettes, added in a groove close to the bottom to hold the base. Used cellophane as windows. Added text to the base with kids name. Added holes for carrying handle. Son now painting outside. Trick or treat sweety box.
