This is a very simple carve. I sanded my board and painted it black. The next day I taped Oracal 631 blue vinyl onto the board before carving to keep the black from getting dirty with sawdust. You can replace the picture in the middle of the union with whatever you want.

Outstanding! Are you gluing the casings in or simply pressing them in?

Because this one was for a young Trooper, I did not glue it, so that he can replace with his own spent 9mm shell casing if he liked. The holes were tight enough that I had to hammer the casings in which was perfect.
