General Information

Keep your machine's cutters safe and easy to locate, by making this storage board. It also has a slot for the collet wrench, to save it getting lost. The design uses Easel's new Drill Holes feature, which makes boring holes the same diameter as the cutter quick and easy to include.

Prepare Blank

Cut the storage board blank out 13"x4½", from a 5/8" or 3/4" thick piece of plywood Apply a finish to the board, such as a colored wax (as I used), shellac, or paint, and allow to dry Secure on the machine

Cut 1/8" Holes on Machine

Select the first 'workpiece' in Easel, and carve it with the 1/8" straight bit

Estimated time: 10 minutes

Cut Text on Machine

Select the third 'workpiece' in Easel, and carve it with the 1/16" downcut bit Of course you may alter the name, BITSTORE, to anything you wish

Estimated time: 2 minutes

Cut 1/4" Holes on Machine

Select the second 'workpiece' in Easel, and carve it with the 1/4" straight bit

Tidy Up and Use

Lightly sand any frayed edges from the carve Insert your most used selection of cutters, and the collet wrench
