The depth of cut may be a little aggressive at 8 mm Try 6 or 5

Here's the finished cut! Not sure if the antlers will come out they are awfully thin. Just finished gluing and in a press results tomorrow.

8mm seems awfully deep for an inlay. Is there a reason you need it to be so deep?

You can see some chip out in a few places on the plug in your pre glue up shots. I wonder if a new v-bit or less aggressive settings could get better results on those antlers.
