For the full details on the build you can go to this link and watch the video

The video shows a router table and scroll saw been used, you can now open the plan in Easel.com and make it with your X-Carve instead.
Just set the material thickness in easel.com, i recommend using 3/4" or 19mm material.
awesome

That is a very beautiful design. Congratulations on your creativity.
Turi Ducommun · June 23, 2015
how many pieces you cut firthisproject //?
Michel Guerrero · August 19, 2015
Hi Michel i used about 12 pieces but it will depend on the thickness of the wood and size of the laptop.
Warren Downes · August 19, 2015
i may be missing something but what does this have to do with the xcarve??
Ken Timblin Sr. · August 18, 2017
This has NOTHING to do with X-Carve nor CNC. Some Olde-School click-bait?
Alex Voltz · December 24, 2018
Awesome design. Carved all the pieces and then glued them together to make the stand. Figure I would explain it to the ones who didn't get it.
Louie Lyons · February 10, 2019
What do you estimate the weight of this to be?
Matt Slaga · May 11, 2019
"The original build was made using a router table and i have modified it so you can cut the parts out in Easel.com" Dont be that guy Ken Timblin
Kenneth Maddux · September 29, 2019
To cut 12 pieces at 1200mm/min and 1mm DOC will take close to 12 hours. Using 19mm stock.
David Peterson · October 21, 2019
One thing I did was add 3 holes for alignment dowels and carved with a 1/4 inch bit .Then i speed up the machine to carve 2 out of a piece i can get 2 pieces in about 30 minutes
Jeff Richmond · December 05, 2019
i really like your design i found that the time it takes is undeniably overwhelming, I have modified the design to 12 minutes with an 1/8 inch downcut bit running at 30 ipm. also adding the dowel holes for alignment while gluing
Jeff Richmond · January 13, 2020
Cool stand. I definitely want to do a couple of builds for friends at work
Kevin Pilgrim · January 31, 2020
What type and size bit to crave it out with? 1/4 endmill? How many flukes?
Kohfe · June 01, 2020
I really like the wood that you used for this project. What kind of wood is it?
Noah H · October 10, 2020
Project is a scan of the .pdf file that he shows in the video. It contains open vectors and duplicate toolpaths. I repaired the Easel file and Re-Posted to the Published Files here: https://www.inventables.com/projects/gorgeous-laptop-stand-repaired-easel-file
