Classic Slingshot

Instructions

1

Mill Slingshot and Plugs

First step is to cut the slingshot and plugs from 3/4" material. We used Walnut because it went nicely with the rope for the grip and the cork sling.

2

Mill Sling

Mill the sling out of a flexible material. We used 1/8" cork from the Inventables store. Foam, rubber, or handcut cloth could also work for this piece.

3

Sand, Finish, and Assembly

File/sand off whatever tabs remain and finish the walnut parts with mineral oil. To use a rope as a grip, wrap it around the inset part of the handle and use the provided hole to tie off the knot. Add a loop for convenient carrying. We used large O-rings as the elastic, but rubberbands will work too. Whatever you use, loop it around the plugs and pull it through the hole. The force on the elastic will only pull it tighter.
