Third times a charm.
1. Cheap plywood - Fail.
2. 1/4" end mill - Fail. I didn't realize that the project was cut "on path" instead of outside.
3. With 1/8" / birch - success - one that I can give to my granddaughter. I glued some pine together for a larger, thicker seat.
