3 part car using plywood, 12mm, any other wood 12-19 mm would be ok. If more width is required another center piece can be cut
Use 8mm bolts and nuts to hold parts together for the glue up to get the alignment. Clamp the roof till glue dries
use popcorn or dried peas in the center piece cutout to make the rattle part.
The wheels can be made from pine or similar rather than ply.
Cut 10mm dowel to the right length for axle,
Add washers between then car and wheels so they don't bind
