Planter box was made using traditional tools. Screen was made in Easel and carved out of two PVC panels. I also cut grooves in the boards for the frame in Easel.
Which long pieces are you asking about? For the pieces that make up the frame on the top, I made a "bump stop" using a spare piece of material and I laid the long boards against it. I had to buy extra long screws from McMaster Carr because the ones that came with my machine were too short to hold down the pieces lying on their sides.
