General Information

This is a little plywood nightstand, that takes just one hour to carve. It is done frome a sheet of 12mm thick cherry plywood.

Carve

First carve out all the parts of the nightstand with your X Carve.

Estimated time: 58 minutes

Sanding

Sand all the edges.

Estimated time: 10 minutes

Glue it together

Glue all the parts together as shown on the picture. Clamp everything together and let it dry.

Estimated time: 60 minutes

Reinforce the joints with dowels

On the top and the side pieces, mark out the holes as shown in the pictures. Drill 6mm holes and glue in the wood dowels, so that they still stand out a bit. Saw them down with a japanese handsaw and sand them flush.

Apply a finish

You can apply all sorts of finishes, such as wax or oils.
