Cat Scratcher

I use a drag knife to cut out these strips from cardboard boxes, and then glue them together to build a simple cat scratcher.

Make sure you orient the box the right way, otherwise you won't see the corrugation against the edge like you expect.
I used another piece of cardboard as a "soft spoilboard" underneath the one I was cutting, and I attached it with 3M spray glue and some masking tape to the actual spoilboard (if the knife catches the MDF it will likely make the machine skip steps)
Then I attached the cardboard I was cutting to the cardboard on the bottom with a very light coating of 3M glue, so I could peel it off easily at the end
