This is the movement that worked for me. Please let me know if you need help getting it to work. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKJ1464?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

I really like this model. It makes me wonder if you could make something similar using just 2.5d design tools

Thanks. Which design tools? Like making the same design but as an SVG. I did find a way in blender to use 3d models to create vector files. Its pretty cool, the viewing direction of the model at the point of export changes the vector image. Hard to explain in words. The two designs in this are from the same 3d Model, one is from the side the other from the top. https://easel.com/projects/Jops3E7hwh3VgYUGan2tpg# Sorry if that's not what you mean.

Wow that's really cool! This is what I was thinking. Could I build this in Easel using svg imports and some 2d design elements. I really like 3D carves but often the carve time is quite the investment.

Then yes it would be possible. Honestly though, I suspect the time it would take to do it might out weigh the carve time of the STL. I have all the element still as seperate object so will play around with it and see if it works. Someday. 馃榾

It looks pretty close. 馃憤 getting the central piece to swirl would be impossible in easel, but in blender you can use proportional editing and rotate to make the swirls. I often take svgs from easel and edit them in blender also.

Thanks for sharing and helping me explore this idea!
