Draft for counsel review (draft-2026-09-25). Not in effect.

Your privacy

What Easel knows about you

Your school email (only so you can sign in — Easel never emails you), your first and last name, which class you’re in, a scrambled copy of your password that nobody at Easel can read or turn back into your password, the designs and projects you create, the comments and changes you post on projects in your class, and any project you send to your school’s machines. Our computers also see the basic technical information every website sees, like the type of browser you’re using, so the program works and stays safe. We keep that only for a short time.

What Easel doesn’t know

Your birthday, your grade, your student ID number, your phone number, your address, your photo, your grades, or where you are.

Who can see your work

You and your teacher. Classmates in your class can see a project only if you share it with the class, and they see your first name and last initial. Not other classes, not the public, and not advertisers. You can look at Easel’s public gallery on easel.com like anyone can, but your work never goes there. The companies that help Easel run its computers can only use your information to run Easel.

What Easel does with it

Runs Easel Classroom for your school. That’s it. No ads, no selling, no profiles, no AI training. Easel doesn’t watch what you do.

How long we keep it

While you’re in a class that uses Easel Classroom. After your teacher closes your last class, or if your school asks sooner, it’s deleted within 60 days.

If something’s wrong

Tell your teacher. Your teacher or your parent can ask the school to have Easel show, fix, or delete your information.

The grown-up version

Your parents and teachers can read the full notice at easel.com/pages/privacy-policy.
