Start from a blank workpiece

Draw a domino tile, then duplicate it

Start with a blank workpiece. Turn a square into a 1½-by-3-inch rectangle and give it an outside outline cut. Add a narrow divider and three small circles to make a one-two domino, then give those details a shallow pocket cut. Watch the real Easel editor and 3D preview update as each shape is added. This recording draws one tile. Draw each type of domino then select all elements, right click, and use the replicate feature to make the number of copies needed to maximize yield on your piece of material

A real blank Easel workpiece gains a rectangular domino outline, a center divider and three shallow circular pips beside the native 3D preview.

Keep enough flat edge for tiles to stand

Milne found that a small round-over on all four sides made her dominoes harder to stand on edge. She would soften the edges lightly with a sander next time. If you like to stand your tiles upright, try the edge treatment on a spare piece before finishing the whole set.

Keep the same position when changing bits

Bates carves the small details with a 1/16-inch bit, then changes to a 1/8-inch bit for the outline pass. His instructions warn against moving the spindle in X or Y between those stages. Keeping the same starting position lets the second pass line up with the dots already carved.

Leave the paint mask on until the color dries

Stych applies adhesive paint mask before carving the MDF faces. She leaves it on while clipping the tabs, paints the recessed dots and divider lines, then peels it away once the paint is dry. That order keeps the surrounding dark face covered while you add color to the recesses.
