Bed Tray with Carrying Handles

Carry breakfast to bed on a tray with raised handles and a round recess in the top. Jeanik and Alejandro’s design slots together from plywood and comes apart for storage. Their instructions specify 10 mm plywood and a one-eighth-inch straight bit. The shared workpiece includes the tabletop and interlocking sides. Use the actual sheet thickness when fitting the joints.

Bent-Wood Table with a Phone Holder

Give a laptop and phone their own places on a wide bent-wood table. David’s photographed version uses pine and Chilean raulí, while the shared design uses maple and walnut presets. Three workpieces provide the underside relief and charger recess, tabletop outline and separate phone supports. Follow the maker’s two-sided carving and bending sequence, and supply a compatible charging module separately.

Cut matching leg curves together

Ben Ezzell clamped his lap-desk legs together before cutting their curve on a band saw, then smoothed them on an oscillating spindle sander. The Easel file supplies the ventilation pattern, while this separate shop step makes a matching pair of supports for the desk.
